BioTe Hormone Therapy

What are Bioidentical Hormones?

Bioidentical hormones is a way for our patients to battle the effects of endocrine changes as they age. Menopause in women is one of the most well-known of these biological processes. However, there is another common condition known as andropause. Not only can andropause cause symptoms in both women and men, but it can also affect younger patients, as early as their 30s. Over time, the condition can worsen and symptoms can become more aggressive. We can also assess thyroid hormone levels and other markers in the human body that can be adjusted back to normal.

  • We recommend putting an ice pack on the insertion area a couple of times for about 20 minutes each time over the next 4 to 5 hours.
  • Do not take tub baths or get into a hot tub or swimming pool for 3 days. You may shower but do not scrub the site until the incision is well healed (about 7 days).

  • The insertion site may be uncomfortable for up to 2 to 3 weeks. If there is itching or redness you may take Benadryl for relief, 50 mg. orally every 6 hours. Caution this can cause drowsiness!

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is a well-established form of hormone therapy at Thrive Hydration & Spa, leveraging hormones structurally similar to those naturally found in the human body for decades. This holistic approach addresses hormonal imbalances effectively.

Biote utilizes bioidentical hormones that closely replicate the molecular structure of those naturally occurring in the body. This alignment with the body’s chemistry enhances the effectiveness of hormone therapy.

Thrive Hydration & Spa offers pellet therapy, where custom-compounded pellets, inserted into the upper buttocks area during an in-office visit, cater to each patient’s specific hormone quantity needs. The dosages are personalized through consultation and extensive lab work to ensure precise hormone concentrations.

Absolutely. Thrive Hydration & Spa provides two major pellet therapy types: estrogen pellets and testosterone pellets, each tailored to address specific hormonal needs.

Estrogen, present in both men and women, plays a vital role in reproductive and non-reproductive functions. Thrive’s estrogen pellets, composed of estradiol, offer relief from emotional, reproductive, and non-reproductive symptoms, particularly targeting the discomforts of aging in women.

Testosterone, crucial for various bodily processes, is produced in the testes and ovaries. Thrive Hydration & Spa’s testosterone pellets, made of high-quality powdered testosterone fused with stearic acid, undergo meticulous testing, ensuring confidence in their quality.

Thrive Hydration & Spa’s testosterone pellets, composed of powdered testosterone, are fused into a pellet using stearic acid as a binding agent. Rigorous testing of ingredients ensures the quality of these pellets, instilling confidence in pharmacists, Biote Certified Providers and patients.

In women, estrogen levels decrease with age, especially during perimenopause and menopause. Thrive’s estrogen pellets help balance hormone levels, relieving symptoms associated with mood, bone density, and heart health.
